Moving abroad can be both time-consuming and difficult, which is why it's important to anticipate this stage of your life to avoid problems on your D-Day. You have no idea how an expatriation can turn into a nightmare, especially if the move itself starts with a series of issues! Moving by sea freight

When we talk about moving internationally, we often think of sea freight. Why ? Quite simply, because it is the cheapest solution when moving large volumes (generally greater than 2/3 cubic meters). When we talk about moving by boat, we are directly referring to the container. There are 3:

• 20-foot container with a capacity of 33 cubic meters (i.e. a house with 2 bedrooms or less)
• 40-foot container with a capacity of 67 cubic meters (i.e. a 3-4 bedroom house)
• 40-foot Container HQ with a capacity of 76 cubic meters (i.e. a house with 4-5 bedrooms)

It is possible that you do not have enough business to fill a full container, in this case, we can opt for a maritime groupage solution:

• FCL - Full container: The principle of the full container is, as its name suggests, to reserve a container only for your goods. It has the advantage of being sealed from departure (your old home) to arrival (your new home). Generally, we consider this method from the moment you have a volume greater than 13/15 cubic meters (Yes, a half-filled container is already profitable!).
• LCL - Maritime groupage: With this option, you cannot fill a full container only for your belongings, so we will share the available space among several shippers in order to save on logistics costs. Generally, we consider this method from the moment you have a volume less than 13/15 cubic meters.

Moving by air freight

Although air freight is not the most competitive method on the market, it has the advantage of being the fastest method by far! In particular, it allows you to charter goods from one end of the world to the other in a few days, a performance that no other mode of transport can match! On the other hand, this method unfortunately becomes overpriced when we talk about large volume. Generally, we advise to consider this method when you have a volume less than 2 cubic meters. Besides, below this volume, this method is simply faster, but above all cheaper than sea freight, so why not ?!

Moving by truck

Finally, it is possible to make a move by road only and those regardless of the volume of your personal effects. This method of transport will be used when doing a local shipment, to a cross-border country or over a short distance in general. It has the advantage of being very flexible and above all being very economical, since there are far fewer processes (for example, there are not all the charges linked to the terminal: handling, terminal charges, etc.).

Once again, this is a service that we master perfectly, quite simply because we also operate it when we do air or sea freight, at least to link the origin / destination with the various terminals.
